Miguel F. Lancha tastes and makes cocktails for a living. Someone had to do the hard job. Born in Madrid, Spain, and having lived throughout the Caribbean for enough time to be able to show some dance moves, he is currently based in Washington DC, from where he recently directed Chef José Andrés Group’s cocktail programs globally for 9 years as part of the R&D team. His background in the industry is that of a bartender, bar consultant, blogger and bar trainer with emphasis in cocktail making and spirits. As for his personal background, a natural traveler and a former full time musician, he stays true to connecting with people. First Cognac Educator in Spain certified by the BNIC and former member of the experts panel for the West Indies Rum and Spirits Producers Association’s Authentic Caribbean Rum marque, he also loves traveling to Mezcal, Whisky, Gin and other liquor producing regions
